Alesha Dixon is a British singer, dancer, television presenter and author whose career has successfully evolved from pop music to mainstream entertainment. Born on 7 October 1978 in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, she first rose to prominence as a member of one of Britain’s most successful girl groups.
Dixon found fame in the early 2000s as part of Mis-Teeq, whose blend of R&B, garage and pop produced several chart hits including Scandalous, All I Want and One Night Stand. The group enjoyed commercial success in the UK and internationally before eventually disbanding.
Following Mis-Teeq, Alesha launched a solo music career. Although her first album achieved modest success, her career experienced a remarkable revival after winning Strictly Come Dancing in 2007. Her outstanding performances introduced her to a wider audience and showcased her exceptional dancing ability.
