Sir Kenny Dalglish is one of the greatest figures in British football history, celebrated as both an outstanding player and a highly successful manager. Born on 4 March 1951 in Glasgow, Scotland, he enjoyed remarkable success with Celtic before joining Liverpool in 1977.

At Liverpool, Dalglish became one of the club’s greatest players, winning multiple league titles, European Cups and domestic trophies. His intelligence, vision and finishing ability made him one of Europe’s finest forwards.

He later became player-manager at Liverpool, leading the club to further domestic success while earning widespread admiration for his leadership during one of the most challenging periods in the club’s history following the Hillsborough disaster.

Dalglish also enjoyed an exceptional international career with Scotland, earning more than 100 caps and becoming one of the nation’s all-time leading goalscorers.

After managing Liverpool, Blackburn Rovers, Newcastle United and Celtic, Dalglish continued serving football through ambassadorial and charitable work. His long-standing support for the Hillsborough families has earned enormous respect across the football community.
