About

L’Oréal Paris has confirmed TV presenter Tess Daly as its new Ambassador and Spokesperson for the UK and Ireland.

Elen MacAskill, Interim Deputy General Manager UK & Ireland, comments, ‘Tess truly exemplifies our brand philosophy, ‘Because You’re Worth It’. An accomplished presenter, author and working mother of two whose accessibility, warmth and natural beauty have captivated the nation. We are honoured to welcome her as a member of the L’Oréal Paris dream team.’

TV personality Tess Daly has become the latest star to utter the iconic words ‘Because You’re Worth It’ and judging by a promo snap of her doing her thing, she’s more than worth the £300,000 deal she’s landed.

Her thick blonde locks have been tied in a side pony tail, showing off just how thick they are as well as their beautiful colour.

Wearing a simple white shirt, she showed off her natural beauty while going relatively make-up free.

The 44-year-old is clearly very excited about her new role, in particular saying their famous tagline.

She revealed: ‘I couldn’t dare tone down my accent because Vernon would tell me off.I’m posh compared to him, though. I tease him all the time.

‘I can only be me, really. The first time I said it I got emotional – they’re iconic words. We’ve grown up listening to these amazing women say these immortal words – I had to pinch myself.’

Opening up about what the job means to her, she said in a statement: ‘I feel so honored to be working with a brand that I’ve been a fan of for so long. It’s a brand that puts women first and encourages them to celebrate their self-worth and have confidence in themselves.

‘After all beauty isn’t just an aesthetic, it’s not just about how we look on the outside, it’s as much about how we feel on the inside.’

She continued: ‘I’ve been using L’Oreal ever since I was old enough to buy make up. I’ll never forget buying my first can of Elnett hairspray, it felt like an initiation into woman-hood!  A rite of passage if you like. I’ve been using it ever since! I can’t wait to say those iconic words “because you’re worth it,” since they celebrate empowerment and accessible glamour for all women everywhere.’

Not only is Tess taking on a new role as brand ambassador but she’s also just released her second book – The Camera Never Lies – a novel about an up and coming presenter and the dramas that unfold behind the camera.
