About

Brazilian model Gisele Bündchen has been revealed as the face of H&M’s autumn/winter 2013-14 campaign.

Bündchen follows other big names who’ve modelled for the Swedish retailer, including Beyoncé, Vanessa Paradis and Lana Del Rey.

While no pictures from the final campaign have yet been unveiled, the brand released a behind-the-scenes preview of the imagery earlier today – showing a smiling Bundchen wearing a black coat. H&M is on a roll with its current slew of campaign stars; Beyoncé Knowles stars in the brand’s high-summer adverts – showcasing a series of swimwear – while models Daphne Groeneveld, Joan Smalls, Liu Wen and Lindsey Wixson are the faces of the retailer’s New Icons range.

Bundchen – who last year was named top of Forbes’ highest-paid models list – gave birth to her second child, daughter Vivian Lake Brady, in December. The 32-year-old is also the current face of Chanel beauty and previously worked with H&M on its spring/summer 2011 campaign.

Gisele is a big squeeze for the high street chain as she is the highest-earning model for the past SIX years. H&M have a habit of snagging the best campaign stars out there, as their current face is of course Beyoncé Knowles who sang her new track Standing On The Sun on the beach in the Bahamas in a no-expense-spared campaign video.

Since 2004, Giselle has been the highest-paid model in the world, and is the sixteenth richest woman in the entertainment industry (as of 2007) with an estimated $250 million fortune.

On May 2011, Forbes ranked her as the world’s top-earning model for the fifth consecutive time, with an estimated $45 million over the previous 12 months. Her earnings climbed $20 million over the previous year, thanks to an economic boom in Brazil, coupled with a 10 per cent surge in the value of the Brazilian real against the dollar. In August 2011, Bündchen ranked 60th on the Forbes list of The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women.
