Laura Whitmore for Westfield London

Laura Whitmore has partnered with Westfield London, curating and launching A Very Rental Christmas pop-up store, where customers can ‘rent everything they need for the festive season’, after research revealed 44% of UK millennials were looking to give their homes rental makeovers for Christmas.

The shop launched virtually earlier this week, and opens for consumers December 3-13. The store was inspired by some of 2020’s top interior trends: Japandi, The Great Gatsby, Monochrome Romance and Dreaming of a White Christmas.

Laura Whitmore said, “I’m so excited to have curated A Very Rental Christmas at Westfield London, the first ever Christmas rental store, to bring together the most amazing seasonal trends in one place. I love the idea of renting things we only use once a year – it’s more sustainable and also means you can try out new styles of decorations each year, which I love to do.”

If you want to rent any of the items, all you have to do is head into their store and select the items to borrow. Visitors can also book a virtual consultation with a home stylist, rent the trends and make the most of the Click&Collect service from the centre.

All rented items will need to be returned to Westfield London on the 9th and 10th January 2021.

The concept store comes as Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield’s How We Shop research found that nearly half of UK millennials would prefer to rent items this Christmas, including trees (40 per cent), decorations (38 per cent), board games (30 per cent), novelty jumpers (28 per cent) and table settings (28 per cent).
