Milla Jovovich is an American actress, model and musician best known for her action film roles and international modelling career. Born on 17 December 1975 in Kyiv, then part of the Soviet Union, she emigrated to the United States as a child with her family.

Jovovich began modelling at a young age before moving into acting during her teenage years. Her breakthrough came with The Fifth Element (1997), where her memorable performance introduced her to audiences worldwide.

She later became closely associated with the Resident Evil film series, portraying Alice across six films. Her physically demanding performances and strong screen presence established her as one of cinema’s leading female action stars.

In addition to acting, Jovovich has enjoyed success as a musician and fashion model, working with many of the world’s leading designers and magazines.

She remains active in film while supporting charitable causes related to children’s welfare and humanitarian relief. Her international background and diverse career have made her one of the entertainment industry’s most recognisable performers.
