Nicki Minaj teams up with wine brand

Myx Fusions has announced a partnership with Nicki Minaj, who is now a part-owner of the single-serve moscato wine beverage.

In addition, the popstar is the face of its new distinctive bottle and print, radio and TV advertising campaign.

About her new position, Nicki says, ‘I am so excited to team with the Myx brand. I have no doubt that it will be number one. It’s a great tasting, amazing product that people will love. It’s not even a hard sell. Myx Fusions gives us an opportunity to revolutionise the wine industry.’

And joining Nicki as a part-owner of the brand is famed “LAHH” producer Mona Scott-Young. Mona, who also serves as the chief marketing officer added,

“The collaboration between Nicki Minaj and Myx Fusions is a game changer. Nicki is an innovative trendsetter and has the ability to energize the masses. She embodies everything that Myx Fusions represents—style, spontaneity, and the desire to push the envelope and inspire change. Both brands are perfectly aligned.”

For now, Myx Fusions is available in New York, New Jersey, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. The brand is expected to reach more markets in the future.

“Moscato has done wonders for wine consumption and Myx Fusions will do the same for moscato,” said CEO Peter Reaske in a press release. “We believe that Nicki Minaj’s partnership combined with the appeal of the Myx product will have a ground-breaking impact on the wine industry.”

Nicki Minaj is a Trinidadian-born American rapper, singer, songwriter, actress, and television personality. Born in Saint James, Port of Spain and raised in Jamaica, Queens, New York City, she enrolled in performing art schools as a child. After success with three mixtapes released between 2007 and 2009, Minaj signed to Young Money Entertainment. Her debut studio album Pink Friday (2010) peaked atop the U.S. Billboard 200 and was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) the month after its release.

Minaj’s artistry features fast-paced rapping, alter egos and accents, notably British cockney. Her outlandish and colorful costumes, wigs and clothing have given her recognition as a fashion icon. She featured as a voice actress in Ice Age: Continental Drift. She has endorsed Adidas, MAC Cosmetics, and Pepsi. Minaj’s work has earned her six BET Awards, four American Music Awards, two MTV Music Awards, an EMA, five Billboard Music Awards and Billboard’s 2011 Rising Star. She is the first female artist included on MTV’s Annual Hottest MC List, with The New York Times suggesting that some consider her “the most influential female rapper of all time.”
